The arrival
God has been doing mighty things since He brought us to Trinity. Heather, Tori and I are still trying to get our feet under us as it seems that we hit the ground running and haven't stopped since. God is a mighty God indeed, we have learned so much since being here, I have learned about being a Pastor, this is my first pastorate and everything here is so new to me. Heather of course had never been a pastors wife before, so God has really allowed us to rely on Him for everything. Especially since we still haven't sold our house in Mesquite yet. But in His time we will.
Romans 9:25 msg
"I'll call nobodies and make them somebodies;
I'll call the unloved and make them beloved."
I have learned so much about this verse, he called a nobody to be a pastor, he made the unloved, the beloved. Just as in a marriage everything takes work, I have had to learn about being a pastor even though I'm qualified, but I have heard a great quote:
God doesn't call the equipted,
He equipts the called.
And that is what he has done here. Of course He has used the GREATEST wife EVER!!! Heather is more than just a wife she is a partner in ministry, the only way that I could ever have any effectiveness is with her help. She is a great partner in ministry. She is also my companion in Seminary as well, although she does make better grades than I do. She is awesome. I could not live life without her.
Then there is our third partner, Tori, our young daughter that was born on Nov. 9, 2004. The real reason that Trinity hired us. She is a bundle of joy and an exciting part of our lives. Tori, is by and far the best daughter ever born, and no I'm not biased in the least. Just kidding, although she has been a great daughter.
Many you allow God to bless you half as much as He has blessed me.
